Luisa Fernanda is a space scientist, educator, and communicator specializing in planetary defense, radar observations of near-Earth asteroids, and science outreach. Born in Colombia and raised in Puerto Rico, she holds a Ph.D. in Physics and Space Sciences from the University of Granada and a Master’s in Space Studies from the International Space University. She has collaborated with NASA, the Vatican Observatory, and the Arecibo Observatory. With strong public relations, event coordination, and entrepreneurial skills, she has led major STEM programs, founded outreach initiatives, and now contributes to planetary defense research, education and public engagement at the Florida Space Institute.
