Doug Owens is the Chief Operating Officer of Andromeda Space Corporation (ASC), a space mobility and logistics company working to become the FedEx of space. Doug is installing a lean operations battle rhythm to allow ASC to raise funds, find customers, and innovate. Doug is also the founder of Space Outcomes LLC, a go-to-market consultancy in the space and broader federal contracting sector, where he helps founders win U.S. Government contracts.
As a business development executive in the U.S. intelligence community, Doug won over $300M in U.S. Government contracts, including significant sole source awards based on a differentiated offering. Doug’s business development wins enabled ownership to sell the company to private equity, with Doug being a crucial part of the successful M&A process.
Doug earned an executive master’s degree in space leadership, business and policy at ASU/Thunderbird, during which he presented at the NSS space settlement summit and briefed NASA leadership. Doug earned his undergraduate degree from the College of William and Mary, majoring in computer science and anthropology. Doug is based in the Washington D.C. area.
